Schlepping Your Stuff Around

Everyone dislikes carrying stuff with them, especially men. Schools back in session and the thought of hauling around that 600 page Biology book is killing most students out there. But if you have to carry stuff around, either to work or school, as we most have to, might as well look good while doing it.

Purchasing an ideal bag with you can seem easy at first because most men don't really care what they're carrying around with them. But wearing a suit and a backpack can kill your look and the image that you are trying to portray. There are adequate bags out there for any look and style, Hym will show you a couple of suggestions.

Now this is not the place where you want to skim a few dollars and buy yourself a really cheap bag. If your wearing a suit buy yourself a nice sturdy briefcase or a hassle free messenger bag. For those casual days go for a nice canvas backpack or a classic backpack that is easy on the shoulders. Now that we have that addressed, here are some of my picks.

Briefcases: Can be the ultimate symbol of class and power. Steel cases and metal looking cases are things of the 80's, seek out a sleek portfolio leather covered hard-case briefcase or a leather soft-case briefcase, either or is a good suggestion for wearing a suit or dressing professionally. The color and style can be up to the wearer, or the lugger, whichever you prefer. Not to be confused with messenger bags, briefcases do not come with a shoulder strap so be aware. Kenneth Cole makes very high quality portfolio briefcases at affordable prices, that will last you forever, and a day.

Backpacks: Canvas is huge right now and a really great material for a backpack. Stick to neutral colors and sturdy straps. Stay away from North Face bags, there ridiculous for school or work and are made for traveling, etc. The Herschel Company makes a great array of very classic practical bags at affordable prices. Messenger Bags: They're cool, practical and overall very easy to the eye. Jack Spade makes the best messenger bags out right now and they are built to last. Grab yourself one of these and you'll have it for years and years to come. As a suggestion, messenger bags should not below your butt. The simpler the bag the better, remember simplicity is your friend not your enemy.
