Winter Trend: Fur Covered Boots

I came across some pictures from Chanel's runway show in 2010 aka fur galore and flipped (again). Literally every model is covered in all kinds of fur, head to toe. The runway looks were not Chanel's most ready-to-wear moment (others may disagree, but honestly it is slightly Yeti-like for everyday wear). However, a great deal of fashion insiration can be drawn from this collection and I love the idea of fur on a shoe - tre chic.

Dolce Vita Pippa Fur Wedge Bootie $227
However, Chanel fur comes at a hefty price - one I cannot yet afford, no matter how much I dream. So here are my three top picks for translating the Chanel look to your own everyday (budget friendly) style.

Dolce Vita has my two favorite options, both made of genuine leather and rabbit fur. The "Pippa" Fur Wedge Bootie, is an all over fur option priced at $227 (reg. $325). Though less expensive, this style is still very runway. For more sizes in this color, check here, on sale for $294. There is also a black leather/black fur version, also on sale at Amazon.com for $315.

If these are too runway for you, try my second pick, the "Tatum" Fur Booties, $240. This has the style of the runway with a more ready-to-wear feel. For more sizes or to check this boot out in black and brown versions, visit Amazon.com, each priced here at $247.

For a more affordable and faux fur option, try the "Priska" from Nine West, on sale $65 (reg. $150, price may change as promotion changes).  I suggest trying this faux fur and suede style in "Namtaff"For more sizes and colors, check here, where the it is on sale for $104.

*Herr wear tip: Beware of the elements. All of these are water sensitive. I suggest keeping the real fur styles in a dust cover to keep it clean.
