It's getting close to being that time of the year where you need to start looking for those warmer items in your closet. Boots can be very easy or a really tricky and awkward shopping experience. It all depends on what kind of impression you are trying to get but you can make a wrong one very easily. The colder temperatures are on our horizon and with that comes the task of wearing more complicated outfits. Boots should be the frame to your picture so lets not mess up the artwork. If it's raining or snowing out being a guy can become difficult since we can't just throw on rain boots like most women can, without looking a bit off. Thats why Hym suggests the following boots for the upcoming Fall and Winter months.Palladium boots are made from canvas and leather, very sturdy and comfortable to keep your feet warm and dry in these difficult seasons. At around $80 dollars you can save your lunch money for another time and still look great walking to the deli.
Chukka Boots are a lot more insulated for the cold and can last you a lot longer than Palladiums. These are a bit more expensive ranging from $150-$260 dollars per pair. These are timeless designs for those looking to invest in something that'll last them a couple years. The great thing about investing in this piece is that the "worn-in" look exemplifies the piece and makes it look better once you've incorporated a couple of scuffs on the leather.

The Ralph Lauren Ranger Boot is another very in and very popular boot right now. It has a real cow hide exterior and will last you for a very long time, as long as you take care of the boot of course. Easy with these boots, the salt from the sidewalk will damage the leather on these so an anti-scuff spray is recommended, apply before and after a snow storm. These are a basic $150 dollars but if you buy them from The Ralph Lauren Mansion you may use a student discount with your ID.

Red Wing and J. Crew has collaborated to make a very nice boot that'll last you forever. A bit expensive but worth every cent, Red Wing boots could be very tacky if you don't pick the right one for the style you're going for. (Stick to basic like shown on right.)
Hym suggests: Look for raw hide boots, these will last you forever and get better when they get worn-out. Make sure you take care of your boots while in the Winter, the temperature and elements will cut the life of the boot a lot more than in the Summer so make sure you're careful with them. Strap them on and wear them out!
loving all these great boots, perfect for fall and winter!
