I recently stumbled upon this picture in Vogue's "Paris Street Style" web column. I immediately became obsessed with the outfit featured. The woman in the picture looks so effortlessly chic and edgy. When I first saw this I kept thinking how far out of my reach it probably was. Then it occurred to me that it might be doable - with a few substitutions of course. So I spent the day patrolling every shopping website I could think of until I found a very similar version that could be done on a budget. I thought it would be fun to share it here with you.The first and easiest piece was the top. Any cappuccino colored cardigan will do, just button and tuck in to wear as a top (this is a cute idea for other outfits too). The Gap has an "Ultrasoft Wool Cardigan" , $40, that I would suggest (Gap always has great quality). For other options try Banana Republic, Zara, or Mango.

For the skirt try any wool or cotton olive skirt and it should work well. I found these options at Forever21: Military Swing Skirt, Rugby Stripe Skirt, Garden Stripe Skirt all under $30. You can also try this plaid version by Mango, on sale for $34.99. Wool skirts will all work great so do not be afriad to try a different color or pattern when interpreting this look.
The boots were the easiest to match but the hardest to find. I saw an almost exact match in Seventeen magazine, "Davis" by Matisse, $89, (left) but when I went to check online they were nowhere to be found. Apparently they
are almost completely sold out. I finally found a few pairs here. I cannot vouch for the quality and I have a feeling they are not the best made shoes but they're cute! Another pretty close match is Topshop's "Africa Casual Lace Up Boot"Africa Casual Lace Up Boot", priced at $170. Again I am not sure about quality, so be careful. For a different take on this look (and better quality) try the "Timburr", $169.95, or the"Clovurr", $149, both by Steve Madden.
As for the crowning piece, that gorgeous coat - you have various options at all price points. The most similar option is the "Fur Hooded Padded Parka" from Topshop, at $170 (left).
You can save on the price tag by compromising on the fur hood trim (which is what makes the one in the picture both beautiful and crazy expensive). Try these: H&M's Olive green Utility jackets, around $50 and Zara's Cotton Parka with Sheepskin lining (a plus for those cold days coming up), $89. On the more expensive side, (and my personal favorite) you have this layered utility and fur jacket option "2-in-1" Anorak by LaROK for $398.
