Hooded Up

So what's the perfect thing to throw on when it's getting kind of cold out but not to the point of frostbite? Hooded sweatshirts or just plain-old hoodies are the easiest and most versatile item to have in your closet. They honestly go with everything and anything and more times than none can get you looking like you actually put in more than 5 minutes in the morning.

There's a couple of hurdles you have to jump over before throwing on that hoodie. The first and probably most important one has to be sizing. Embrace your size, if you want to fit into a larger size then go to the gym but buy the hoodie in your actual size. It should fit you like a sweater just with a Hood. (Get it? Hooded sweatshirt.) Second, pick something that looks like you're going out and not to the gym. Stay out of Old Navy and the H&M striped hoodies, those have been over and done with since 1996. Pastel colors believe it or not are very in, find things with textures but keep it simple.

Less logos more style so leave the humor in conversations. I don't want to read a joke on your hoodie. If I wanted to laugh I'd laugh on your fashion decisions rather than the funny saying on your hoodie. Cord or none is up to you I wouldnt worry about that too much just make sure it fits you nicely according to your actual body shape and not the illusion of.

Hym suggests: you can find affordable, sophosticated and fashionable hoodies at Urban Outfitters and Uniqlo for just about the same price that you can get something ugly with. Denim hoodies are really in right now and might be hard to find but All Saints makes a really good one so you might want to check it out. Remember hoodies come in a lot of different shapes and styles so stick to something mature and tasteful. If you're looking for something more trendy and hip you might want to checkout karmaloop, they have a ton of different styles and items are really good prices. At the end of the day, the simpler the better. Zipper or pull-over? Doesn't make a difference as long as you look like you care- just a little at least.
