9021-Oh!!

Seriously though, Fall is around the corner and not for anything it's going to get kind of cold. Time to take out that ugly and smelly coat you had in hibernation this summer. It probably smells like wet duck since I'm willing to bet it's down-feather. The crazy part is- what exactly to throw on when it's not that cold out; the suggestion to throw away that down coat will be posted later in the future. Letterman jackets are a great suggestion to wear during those awkward times of discomfort and comfortability. They're really in right now and come in a thousand and one colors and designs to express your personality or tone it down as much as you would like.

A couple of things to look out for when buying a letterman jacket, make sure it's the one you're looking for. They come in different thicknesses, so make sure you buy the one for you. If you get extra cold, might want the one that has two layers of insolation rather than one. Check thickness easily by folding the jacket and checking on elasticity. Something people tend to overlook when they see something they like. Have a small conversation with your budget and decide to go with real leather or faux. If your budget is acting all high and mighty, you can get an actual letterman jacket that'll last you a couple of years with wear and tear on the leather sleeves to give it that awesome lived-in look, check Mitchell and Ness. If your budget is becoming to be a pain in the... check out a couple of designers that make them but make sure to see the quality of the leather sleeves as this can make or break the sale.

Hym suggests: If you have money to spend, get an official Mitchell and Ness time-capsuled letterman jacket from a school or a team that you might like. These jackets are tough, sturdy and very stylish, they can last you a couple of years for about $575 dollars a pop. Now if you're just trying to keep up with the trend and get a more affordable one, tons of designers sell these letterman jackets now and you can find one at ridiculously cheap prices but be prepared for ridiculously cheap materials. H&M sells one for $34.95, if the leather was any shinier- I would have thought the sleeves were made out of glass. Zara has a good buy in the $79 dollar range and so does Top Man for a sleek $100 dollars. J Crew sells a letterman for $160 dollars, but the difference in this one is that it reeks quality. Check out the one for you in your budget and either way you'll be in serious style this upcoming fall.

HIKE!
