Camel, and Military, and Shearling...Oh My!

Never have I ever wished for cool days as I do now after spending two months drooling over the outwear collections. Fall runways were taken over by gorgeous, super luxe, cold weather wear and are dominating store space right now as everyone clamors to pick up their favorite piece.
With all the styles seen this season, there is definitely something for everyone - matter of fact, I am pretty sure there are like ten somethings for everyone. Navigating through all these styles can prove quite overwhelming, so I have outlined the 3 best styles here and added some affordable options:

CAMEL - King of all outwear, the camel coat reigns supreme over all things fashionable this season and for good reason. Camel is beyond chic and, thankfully, easy to style and flattering on everyone. While I am obsessed with the Chloe and Michael Kors collection pieces - neither has items I can purchase as they are priced in thousands. I have spotted some great options at Zara all priced under $200 (with some shorter coats for even less). If you are looking for more of an investment piece that is still within reason, check out DKNY Sydney Reefer coat prices at $395.

MILITARY- This style is great for transitioning from Fall to Winter. You can layer it over sweaters and throw a faux fur vest over it or a great chunky scarf. Zara, Club Monaco, and Gap are all carrying their own versions for very affordable prices. Piperline also has option under $100 - try Aryn K. Miltary jacket and Zipper jacket. If you are willing to invest in this look, there are a few options out there that come with a separate fur lining that will keep you warm and are more versatile - and justify the expense. Try Bloomingdales for this option - Free People has a cute jacket out for $248, LaROK another for $400 (and my personal fave), and Marc by Marc Jacobs for $598.

SHEARLING - Burberry has done the impossible and made shearling the new it material. I never thought I would ever want a shearling coat until I saw the shearling and leather jacket from Burberry Prorsum. The perfect mixture of hard edge and softness and elegance in a dark chocolate delicious brown leather with a beige slightly off white cozy shearling interior and accents - I think they call this feeling love at first sight. At $3,595 I will continue to admire this coat in the glossy pages of a magazine. I have found two alternatives - nothing like my first love but definitely worth a look. Bloomingdale's Aqua line has a faux Shearling motorcycle jacket at $198. NY&Company has another faux version for $129.
