The Square Root Of Pocket

So long to the good ol' days! A time where men used to be men and carried a handkerchief? Yes sir! Men carried handkerchiefs around with them, all the time. It wasn't an accessory but more like a necessity and many men these days look past the handkerchief and straight to the cuff links. Every blazer in the world today at this moment should have a handkerchief in that man's left front breast pocket, sporting his "gentleman-ess" for the world to see.
Here's the thing about pocket squares (handkerchiefs), many try them, most of them fail, horribly. You shouldn't make a spectacle of a pocket square and cease putting flare to it. It's called a pocket square, not a pocket triangle or pocket fluff. Fold your handkerchief into a square and neatly fit it inside the left breast pocket of your blazer, showing approximately 1/2 an inch of fabric. No more and certainly no less. Style tip: notice the real James Bond and see how a real man sports his pocket square showering us with his oozing confidence and style. (May want to leave the pistol home though.)

Hym suggests: a beautiful pocket square sometimes accents your outfit in the right direction, and this isn't the place to skim over a few dollars. You should buy a good silk pocket square in a solid neutral color and try not to match with your tie or bow-tie too much; we all know you understand the concept of color-matching. Thomas Pink offers a beautiful array of colors in the $60-$80 dollar range and $35 dollars can go a long way in Brooks Brothers. If you're looking for something a bit more upscale, Hermès carries the epitome of what is considered a handkerchief.
I'm allergic to tackiness, where's my handkerchief...?
Ahchoo!
